Can you book flights with Klarna?Split the fare, keep the flight you choose

Yes. You can book flights with Klarna on Laters.com: search, choose your fare and split the cost with a Klarna payment plan at checkout. Klarna is offered through the Laters.com checkout, so the airline does not need to accept Klarna on its own website. You can find Laters.com on Klarna in its store directory.

The plans differ by country and booking. Klarna has Pay in 4 in the US and Pay in 3 in the UK, alongside deferred-payment and monthly financing products in supported markets. Laters.com charges no booking fees and no payment surcharges. Klarna interest or late-payment charges are separate. Compare the amount due today, repayment dates and total cost before choosing. Approval is required and a credit check may apply.

For example, a $1,000 fare split with US Pay in 4 has four payments of $250: the first payment, then three more two weeks apart. The repayments total $1,000 at 0% interest; late fees may apply if payments are missed. See Klarna’s US Pay in 4 terms.

Once your flight is ticketed, Laters.com emails your booking confirmation and e-ticket. You do not have to finish all your Klarna repayments before receiving the ticket. Paying in installments changes your repayment schedule; your ticket still has the cabin, baggage allowance and change or refund rules of the fare you choose.

Klarna-2

Klarna markets its short-term split-pay plan as Pay in 4 across most regions, though the UK lists it as Pay in 3 instead, and Australia's terms differ under local credit rules. Financing beyond that runs on a soft credit check and isn't published everywhere, so basket limits, fees, and rates vary by country and appear at Klarna checkout, not here. FAQs: using Klarna to book flights

Everything you need to know about paying for flights with Klarna on Laters.com.

Klarna

Can I use Klarna to pay for flights?

Yes. Search flights on Laters.com, select your fare and choose Klarna when it appears among the payment options. You choose Klarna through Laters.com, so the airline does not need to accept it on its own website. The plans differ by country: the US has Pay in 4 and the UK has Pay in 3, alongside other payment schedules where offered. Find Laters.com in Klarna’s store directory.

Is it smart to use Klarna for flights?

It depends on the plan and your budget. Klarna's Pay in 4 in the US and Pay in 3 in the UK are interest-free when every payment is made on time, so they add nothing to the fare. Monthly financing carries interest at the rate in your offer, so compare the total repayment with the fare before choosing it. Late fees apply if a payment is missed. Klarna publishes a US Pay in 4 late fee of up to US$7, with total late fees capped at 25% of the purchase, and in the UK a late fee of up to £5 when a payment is still unpaid after seven days, never more than two in one collection cycle. A plan is worth taking only when the repayments fit the months ahead, and a flight change or refund does not end the plan by itself. Klarna's US Pay in 4 terms, Klarna's UK product and fee guide and our guide to how pay-later flights work.

Do any airlines accept Klarna directly, such as Delta?

At an airline's own website, Klarna is available only where that airline offers it, and few do. Delta is the carrier people ask about most: what delta.com accepts is Delta's own list and can change, so check it there before assuming Klarna is an option. Laters.com is the merchant, so you can compare fares from 650+ airlines and choose Klarna at checkout wherever Klarna appears for your booking, whether or not the airline has a Klarna agreement of its own. Klarna lists Laters.com in its store directory. The "Which airlines can you book with Klarna?" section above shows the carriers with a guide on this site. Find Laters.com in Klarna's store directory.

Can I spend $500 on Klarna?

There is no single flight-price limit that applies to every Klarna customer and booking. Klarna’s Laters.com listing explains that the purchase decision considers payment history, outstanding balance, basket amount and identity. You can check estimated purchase power in your Klarna profile or app, but the final decision is made for the purchase at checkout. For a $500 fare, US Pay in 4 would be four payments of $125, subject to Klarna’s decision on that purchase. Check Klarna’s purchase-power guidance.

How soon do I get my flight tickets when paying with Klarna?

You do not have to finish every installment before receiving your e-ticket. Laters.com emails your booking confirmation and e-ticket as soon as the airline issues the ticket, and your Klarna repayments carry on to their own schedule. Payment approval and ticketing are separate steps. If your booking is pending or the e-ticket has not arrived, contact Laters.com with your booking reference.

Does Klarna run a credit check for flight bookings?

Yes, a credit check can apply. Klarna’s US guidance says it uses a soft check for Pay in 4, Pay in 30 days and Pay over time; that check does not affect your credit score. Signing up for an account or downloading the app does not itself trigger a credit check. Products and checking rules differ by country. Klarna’s US credit-check guidance.

What happens if I miss a Klarna payment on a flight booking?

The unpaid amount remains due. For US Pay in 4, Klarna publishes a late fee of up to US$7 after an unsuccessful retry, with total late fees limited to 25% of the purchase value. Other plans and countries have different terms, including the UK amounts in the country guide. Missed payments can affect creditworthiness and future use. Open your Klarna account to check the due date and contact Klarna if you need help. Laters.com manages the flight separately. Klarna’s US Pay in 4 terms.

Which Klarna plan works best for a long-haul flight?

Compare the payment schedule with your budget and the total cost. In a US Pay in 4 illustration, a $1,000 fare is four payments of $250: the first payment, then three more two weeks apart. Monthly financing can spread the balance over longer, but interest can increase the amount repaid and a down payment may be required. The flight’s length does not determine the best plan; compare the offers for its actual price. Klarna US payment options.

Is Klarna available for flight bookings in my country?

The country guide above compares Klarna’s published products in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, Sweden and Australia. The US, Canada and Australia have Pay in 4; the UK and Germany have three-payment products. Sweden’s monthly financing is a separate interest-bearing product. The six-country guide is not a list of confirmed Laters.com checkout markets. Select your flight to see which Klarna options are offered for your booking. Klarna UK payment options.

Can I use Klarna to pay for premium-cabin or business-class fares?

Yes, you can select a premium-cabin or business-class fare and apply to pay with Klarna when it is offered for that booking. The payment options depend on the purchase and your application, so a cabin name does not determine which plan you receive. Compare the amount due first and total repayment; the ticket retains the cabin, baggage and change conditions of the fare you chose.

What happens to my Klarna payments if my flight is canceled or refunded?

Contact Laters.com about the flight refund first. Once the refund is processed, Klarna adjusts the payment plan, which can reduce upcoming payments or return money already paid. Klarna notifies you when the adjustment is made. Follow the current schedule until Klarna confirms the change, and check the remaining balance if only part of the booking was refunded. Klarna’s guidance for Laters.com purchases.

Does Klarna Pay in 4 hurt your credit score?

Klarna says the soft checks used for its US Pay in 4, Pay in 30 days and Pay over time products do not affect your score. Late or unpaid balances can harm creditworthiness and future access to Klarna. Credit reporting rules differ by product and country, so check the agreement for the plan you choose. Klarna's US Pay in 4 credit-check guidance.

Do I need good credit to book a flight with Klarna?

A credit-score label alone does not guarantee approval. Klarna considers the purchase, payment history, outstanding balances and identity information. In the UK, applicants must be UK residents aged at least 18, have a valid card or bank account and receive verification texts. US requirements include legal age, residence, accurate personal details and text verification; product restrictions also apply. The country guide gives Canadian requirements. Klarna’s UK eligibility guidance and US eligibility guidance.

Can I pay for a flight in full with Klarna instead of splitting it?

Yes, when Klarna Pay in Full is offered, you pay the whole amount at once instead of keeping an installment balance. Choose it if you want to settle the fare today. The flight's baggage, change and refund conditions still come from the ticket you select. Klarna US Pay in Full.

Will I be charged interest if I pay off my Klarna plan early?

For an interest-free US Pay in 4 plan, there is no interest to save by paying earlier. For monthly financing, ask Klarna for the amount needed to settle the plan, including how interest is treated, before paying it off. You can manage the plan in your Klarna account or contact Klarna, and keep the settlement confirmation. Klarna support.

Can I book easyJet or Ryanair flights with Klarna?

For easyJet or Ryanair, first search your route and dates on Laters.com. If the airline’s fare is available, select it and check the payment options for that booking. Klarna availability is not confirmed for every easyJet or Ryanair fare. If Klarna appears, you apply through the Laters.com checkout; this does not mean the airline accepts Klarna on its own website. If the fare or payment option is absent, compare another flight or payment method.

Can I use Klarna to book flights from Canada?

Klarna publishes Pay in 4 in Canada, with four interest-free payments spaced two weeks apart; a higher first payment may be required. That establishes the Canadian product, not its availability for every flight through Laters.com. Select your flight and check whether Klarna appears for your booking. Klarna’s Canadian Pay in 4 guide.

What if Klarna is missing from the payment options?

If Klarna is missing from the payment options, it is not being offered for that booking. A declined application is a separate outcome. Check that your booking and billing details are correct, then choose another payment method shown or contact Laters.com for help with the checkout. A Klarna country guide or app account does not guarantee that a particular flight can be financed.

What if Klarna declines my application?

Follow the explanation Klarna shows for the application. Each purchase receives its own decision, so previous approval or estimated purchase power does not guarantee approval now. Klarna’s US guidance says its support team cannot change an automated credit decision. You can use another payment option shown for the booking; contact Laters.com separately if a booking is already pending. Klarna’s US approval guidance.

Is Pay in 30 with Klarna free?

Klarna’s US Pay in 30 days is interest-free when paid on time. It defers the whole balance to one later payment rather than splitting it. For a $500 US example, nothing is due today and $500 is due later; the agreement gives the exact date. Late-payment terms still apply if you miss that date. Klarna US Pay in 30 days.

Can I earn airline miles or points when paying with Klarna?

Eligible airline miles or points come from the ticket and the airline’s loyalty rules. Add your frequent-flyer number and check the earning rules for your fare and operating airline. Klarna changes how you repay the fare; it does not make an otherwise ineligible ticket earn miles.

Is my payment and personal information safe when I use Klarna at checkout?

Klarna says it uses security measures to protect personal and payment information when you pay at Laters.com. Use the Klarna sign-in and payment steps shown during checkout, and use your Klarna account for repayment enquiries. Laters.com handles the flight booking. Do sale or discounted flight fares still qualify for Klarna payment plans?

A sale or discounted fare can be paid with Klarna when it appears as an option for that booking. Select the fare first, then compare the plans offered for its actual price. A discounted ticket keeps its own baggage, change and refund rules; paying in installments does not change those conditions.

Do I need an existing Klarna account to book a flight on Laters.com?

You can start the booking on Laters.com without an existing Klarna account. When you select Klarna, follow the sign-in or account-setup steps it shows. Klarna assesses the purchase whether you are a new or returning customer, and your account lets you manage the resulting payments together.

How do I track my Klarna installment payments for a flight booking?

Open the Klarna app or sign in to your Klarna account to see upcoming payment dates, amounts and the remaining balance. Klarna also sends reminders and updates. Keep your Laters.com booking reference for flight enquiries; your Klarna account is where you manage repayments. Klarna app.

Can I change or cancel a flight booked with Klarna?

Contact Laters.com to request a change or cancellation for a flight booked here. The fare rules determine the available changes, cancellation charges and any voluntary refund. Klarna does not change those ticket conditions. If a refund is processed, Klarna updates the balance and repayment schedule; the plan does not stop simply because you have requested a cancellation.

Has Laters.com run any promotions with Klarna?

Yes. The Klarna x Latitude Festival 2025 campaign is a past example. The promotion section above lists the current codes, qualifying purchases and exclusions. Apply a code during checkout and confirm that the discount appears before paying.

What travel sites does Klarna work with?

Klarna publishes the shops and travel sites it works with in its own store directory, and Laters.com is listed there. On Laters.com you can compare fares from 650+ airlines and choose a Klarna plan at checkout wherever Klarna appears for your booking. Availability is decided per booking and per country, so the plan you are offered can differ from the one shown in a guide. Find Laters.com in Klarna's store directory.

Which airlines do Klarna?

Klarna isn't limited to a fixed airline list on Laters.com: it's an available checkout option for any of the 650+ airlines you can book here, as long as your billing country and currency match one of Klarna's six supported markets (US, UK, Germany, Sweden, Australia, Canada). See Laters.com's own airline-by-airline guides for which carriers you can currently book.

What airlines can use Klarna?

Klarna works alongside any airline Laters.com sells, rather than through airline-specific partnerships: the airline itself doesn't need its own Klarna agreement, since the plan is offered at the Laters.com checkout. What determines eligibility is your own country: Klarna is currently offered to travelers in the US, UK, Germany, Sweden, Australia and Canada (source: klarna.com, checked 16 Sep 2026).

How do Klarna flights work?

Search and compare flights across airlines on Laters.com first, then choose Klarna at checkout. Depending on your country you'll see Klarna's short-term interest-free plan (Pay in 4 in the US/AU/CA, Pay in 3 in the UK, three interest-free installments in Germany), a 30-day deferred payment, or longer financing with interest; Klarna decides which options to show based on your billing details and a credit check for financing (source: klarna.com per-country pages, checked 16 Sep 2026).

Can I pay for flights with pay in 4?

Yes, in the US, Australia and Canada, Klarna's Pay in 4 splits your flight into four equal, interest-free installments: for example a $1,000 US fare becomes four payments of $250. The UK and Germany offer the equivalent short-term interest-free product under a different name (Pay in 3 in the UK, three installments in Germany); Sweden's Delbetalning is a different, interest-bearing monthly-financing product instead (source: klarna.com per-country pages, checked 16 Sep 2026).

What is the downside of Klarna?

The main cost risk is a missed-payment fee: Klarna's US Pay in 4 can charge a late fee of up to $7 per missed installment, capped at 25% of the order value, if a payment fails (source: klarna.com/us/payments/pay-in-4/, checked 19 Sep 2026). Longer financing plans (available in the US, Germany, Sweden and Canada) also carry real interest, up to 35.99% APR in the US, and require a credit check, unlike the short interest-free plans.

What's the downside of using Klarna?

Klarna's longer financing options require a credit application and are not guaranteed: Sweden's Delbetalning and Canada's financing plan both run a credit check before approval, and the rate you're offered (21.9% in Sweden, 7.99%–34.90% in Canada) depends on that assessment rather than being fixed in advance (source: klarna.com per-country pages, checked 16 Sep 2026). Klarna is also only offered in six of Laters.com's markets, so it won't appear as a checkout option everywhere.
