Can You Pay Later on Vueling?

Yes, on Every Route They Fly, on Laters.com

Yes. Vueling flights can be booked on Laters.com with a Clearpay or Klarna payment plan chosen at checkout, with Vueling's 89.04% on-time rate (Cirium, April 2026) as useful context when you schedule it.

Paying later is a payment method at the Laters.com checkout, not a switch Vueling has to flip, which is why it works on every route we ticket. Search your route, choose a provider on the payment screen, pick a plan, and the e-ticket arrives as soon as payment is approved. Which plans you see is set by the country you book from, not by the airline you fly, and checkout only shows the plans your fare qualifies for, so there is nothing to work out beforehand.

An instalment plan leaves the fare alone, and the baggage allowance, and the seat, and what the fare class earns in Vueling's loyalty programme. You fly as Vueling's own passenger on Vueling's own fare rules, and only the paying is spread out. Interest-free plans run a soft eligibility check that does not affect a credit score, while interest-bearing monthly financing runs a full credit check, and approval is never guaranteed on either. Prefer to skip a plan entirely? Pay in full by card, or with crypto, at the same checkout.

  1. Search Vueling and compare the fare
  2. Choose a pay-later plan at checkout
  3. Fly now, pay later: your e-ticket arrives once the flight is ticketed

Vueling is paid in full at booking. You repay the provider on the chosen plan, and the e-ticket is issued straight away. The same instalment shape can trade under a different name depending on provider and market.

Illustrative only. The figures above are computed from the fare you set: plain division for the interest-free plans, and each plan's own illustrative rate over its stated term for monthly financing. They are not an offer, a quote, or a prediction of what you will be given. Laters.com is not the lender and takes no part in the decision: which plans appear, the instalment amounts, any interest and fees, and whether you are eligible at all are determined by the provider alone, and depend on a credit or eligibility assessment, your country and your basket. The only way to see your real plans is to choose a provider at checkout, at which point that provider, not Laters.com, approves or declines the purchase. All plans, rates, fees and terms are estimates only and subject to approval and to change.

Laters.com vs booking direct

Why buy Vueling flights with Laters.com?

Booking direct at Vueling's own site suits anyone paying by card in one go, and that's a fine choice. What it won't do is search every airline we sell in one go, or offer a choice of pay-later plans at checkout. Book the same route through Laters.com and you get the identical Vueling ticket, the same fare rules, baggage allowance, seat selection and loyalty earning, just with more ways to spread the cost.

The Laters.com Airline Quality Score, Vueling

What is the Laters.com Airline Quality Score?

Our editorial rating, out of 10, for what an airline is actually like to fly once you have booked it.

  1. 1Reliability & operations
  2. 2Comfort & experience
  3. 3Value & network
  4. 4Professional airline rating

Every airline we ticket is scored on the same 4 measures, so you can compare them like for like before you book. See the full methodology See all airline scores โ†’

Scored by the Laters.com editorial team from the airlineโ€™s own published specifications and named third-party measurements. No airline pays to be rated, no placement is sold, and this page contains no affiliate links.

Vueling scores 3.8 out of 10: the plain average of the measures below, rounded to one decimal. Each measure is an editorial assessment of the published facts.

What to watch

  • Comfort and passenger-recommendation figures are not yet independently verified
  • No verified in-flight entertainment or wifi rating is cited here
  • Complaints centre on hidden fees, extras and lost baggage
  • No verified professional ground-service rating is cited here

4 measures, scored the same way for every airline we ticket.

Reliability & operations7/10

On-time performance sits at 89.04%, third in Europe in Cirium's April 2026 ranking and a strong mark for scheduling. Laters.com does not hold a verified fleet-age or cancellation-rate figure for Vueling, so neither is cited here.

Comfort & experience3/10

Category-level comfort scores for Vueling's cabin could not be independently verified this session, so none are cited here. As a single-class, short-haul low-cost cabin, the onboard product is deliberately basic; budget accordingly if entertainment or extra legroom matter to your trip.

Value & network3/10

Passenger feedback consistently raises hidden fees and extras as a top complaint, which weighs against value for money. Vueling's network centres on Barcelona-El Prat with strong coverage of Spanish and wider European leisure routes, including Barcelona-Ibiza and Barcelona-Lisbon.

Professional airline rating2/10

Laters.com does not yet hold a verified composite quality score or passenger-recommendation percentage for Vueling, so neither is cited here. Recurring passenger complaints about hidden fees and lost baggage weigh into a below-average rating pending fuller verification.

How the score is built

  • 4 measures, each scored out of 10
  • The headline is the plain average of those measures, computed in the open
  • Each measure is an editorial assessment based on the published facts and sources in the breakdown
  • No airline pays to be rated, and no placement is sold

What we deliberately left out

  1. Safety. It is not a marketing metric and we will not rank carriers on it.
  2. Cancellation rate and fleet age. Omitted rather than estimated, until a sourced field exists for every airline.
  3. Any sub-metric we cannot attribute. An unsourced measure is dropped, not guessed.
  4. Blended third-party scores that mix in inputs we have already rejected elsewhere on this page.

FAQs: Booking Vueling and Paying Later

Everything about booking Vueling flights on Laters.com and splitting the fare, plus the airlineโ€™s own rules that decide what you get.

Can I book Vueling flights on Laters and pay later?

Yes. Search Vueling (VY) fares on Laters.com and choose a pay-later or instalment plan at checkout instead of paying the full fare upfront. The booking is confirmed through Vueling once the plan is approved, so your reservation works the same as any other Vueling ticket.

Is Vueling a reliable airline to book with a payment plan?

Vueling's on-time rate is 89.04%, among the better performers in Europe in Cirium's April 2026 monthly report. That figure is worth weighing against your travel dates when deciding how far in advance to set up a payment plan for a Vueling booking.

Does Vueling cancel flights often, and how does that affect a payment plan?

Laters.com does not hold a verified cancellation-rate figure for Vueling. If a Vueling flight is cancelled, your instalment provider still expects scheduled payments to continue unless the airline issues a refund that you apply toward the balance.

What happens if I miss an instalment on a Vueling booking?

Missing a scheduled payment is a matter between you and the credit provider you chose on Laters, and can include late fees or added interest depending on that provider's terms. Your Vueling booking itself is issued once the plan is approved, so keeping instalments current protects the reservation from cancellation by the payment provider.

How does Vueling's punctuality compare when I'm relying on a connecting itinerary?

Vueling posted an 89.04% on-time rate in Cirium's April 2026 European ranking, third behind SAS and Norwegian. That figure is useful context if your payment plan is tied to a booking with a tight connection.

Does Vueling charge extra fees I should budget for alongside my instalments?

Passenger feedback frequently points to hidden fees and extras as a top complaint about Vueling. Since a payment plan only splits the fare you're charged at booking, it doesn't cover any additional fees Vueling may apply later, so factor those into your total budget.

Which Vueling routes are most commonly booked through pay-later plans?

Laters' own booking data shows Barcelona, London Gatwick, Lisbon, Paris and Manchester as Vueling's most-booked destinations. Booking any of these on Laters lets you split the fare into instalments rather than paying it in one charge.

What are Vueling's most popular destinations?

Laters' own booking data ranks Barcelona, London, London Gatwick, Lisbon and Paris as Vueling's top destinations. A payment plan on Laters works the same way regardless of which of these destinations you choose.

Vueling es de Iberia?

Vueling has been an operating company of International Airlines Group (IAG), which also owns British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus, since 2013. Vueling keeps its own brand and fare rules; paying later through Laters.com doesn't change which group operates the ticket.

About Vueling and Laters.com

About Vueling

Vueling Airbus A320neo EC-NDC at Gran Canaria Airport with the sea behind

On-time performance

Who is Vueling?

Vueling was founded in 2004 and flies from its main base at Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN). It has been an operating company of International Airlines Group (IAG), which also owns British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus, since 2013, and its Vueling Club loyalty programme earns and redeems Avios points. Vueling is not itself a member of the oneworld alliance; the Avios link comes through its IAG ownership, not alliance membership.

What paying later through Laters.com does not change is worth spelling out. Book Vueling in instalments and you still fly on the fare you chose, with the baggage allowance that fare carries and whatever Avios earning it qualifies for. The ticket is issued under Vueling's own conditions of carriage, so you travel as a normal Vueling passenger. Laters.com simply lets you spread the cost of that same fare over time instead of paying the card price in one go.

Paying later is a form of credit. Some plans carry interest, some don't, and a soft credit check or no credit check may apply depending on the plan and your market. Miss an instalment and there are consequences with the provider, including a possible late fee, so only commit to a plan you can keep up with.

Fleet and on-time performance

No fleet detail for Vueling has been researched and confirmed yet, so none is stated here. That includes which aircraft manufacturer or types it operates, whether it runs a single-type or mixed fleet, how many aircraft are in service, and any figures for on-time performance. Those fields render on the page once the facts behind them are verified. Cancellation rate and fleet age are left out for the same reason: neither has a confirmed figure yet, and this page does not estimate figures it cannot attribute. Check the airline's own site for current fleet and network details in the meantime.
