Yes, on Every Route They Fly, on Laters.com
Yes. You can book FitsAir on Laters.com, split the fare into an instalment plan at checkout, and receive your e-ticket straight away. It works on every route FitsAir flies and every fare class. The plan is decided at checkout, so nothing needs arranging with FitsAir first.
Paying later is a payment method at the Laters.com checkout, not something FitsAir has to switch on, which is why it works on every route we ticket. Search the route, choose a provider on the payment screen, pick a plan, and the e-ticket arrives once payment is approved. Plans shown depend on the country you book from, not the airline you fly, and checkout lists only those your fare qualifies for, so nothing needs working out in advance.
An instalment plan leaves the fare, the baggage allowance, the seat and whatever your fare class earns with FitsAir alone. You fly as FitsAir's own passenger on FitsAir's own fare rules, and only the paying is spread. Interest-free plans run a soft eligibility check that does not affect a credit score; interest-bearing monthly financing runs a full credit check. Approval is never guaranteed on either. You can also pay in full by card or crypto at the same checkout.
Split the fare on FitsAir flights at the Laters.com checkout with the pay-later providers for APAC. Plans and approval depend on the provider and your booking; Laters.com charges no booking fees or payment surcharges. FitsAir itself offers MintPay, Koko Pay, Seylan Bank credit card instalment plan, DFCC credit card instalment plan and Commercial Bank credit card instalment plan at its own website; the providers below are the extra choices on Laters.com.
This is a calculator, not a brochure. Set a FitsAir fare and each plan shape below, from short instalments to longer financing, prices itself against it. Which shapes you see depends on the provider and market. The interest-bearing shape needs a full credit check, so read the terms first.

Suits a regional economy fare. Through Clearpay or Tabby. No interest; provider sets late fees. First instalment leaves at checkout.
Suits a short regional economy fare. Through Tabby only. No interest; Tabby sets any late fee. Check at checkout what leaves your account first.
Twelve payments suit a long-haul or premium-cabin fare. Through Tabby. Interest and credit check are not confirmed here; read Tabby's terms first.
FitsAir is paid in full at booking, the traveller repays the provider, and the e-ticket is issued straight away. Short instalment plans trade under different names by provider and market, so the name you see may differ.
Illustrative only. The figures above are computed from the fare you set: plain division for the interest-free plans, and each plan's own illustrative rate over its stated term for monthly financing. They are not an offer, a quote, or a prediction of what you will be given. Laters.com is not the lender and takes no part in the decision: which plans appear, the instalment amounts, any interest and fees, and whether you are eligible at all are determined by the provider alone, and depend on a credit or eligibility assessment, your country and your basket. The only way to see your real plans is to choose a provider at checkout, at which point that provider, not Laters.com, approves or declines the purchase. All plans, rates, fees and terms are estimates only and subject to approval and to change.
Booking direct with the airline is a reasonable choice for a straight card payment. What the airline's own checkout does not give you is one search across every airline we sell, or the choice of pay-later providers at the Laters.com checkout. It is the same FitsAir ticket, issued on the airline's own fare rules, with the same baggage allowance, seat selection and loyalty earning, even when the fare is split. Pay-later plans are credit, so check the terms first.

Laters.com's own checkout terms (payment-method count, crypto acceptance, no booking fee) are platform-wide, not FitsAir-specific.

Our editorial rating, out of 10, for what an airline is actually like to fly once you have booked it.
Every airline we ticket is scored on the same 4 measures, so you can compare them like for like before you book. See the full methodology See all airline scores →
Scored by the Laters.com editorial team from the airline’s own published specifications and named third-party measurements. No airline pays to be rated, no placement is sold, and this page contains no affiliate links.
FitsAir scores 4.8 out of 10: the plain average of the measures below, rounded to one decimal. Each measure is an editorial assessment of the published facts.
4 measures, scored the same way for every airline we ticket.
Reliability & operations5/10
FitsAir has no confirmed on-time performance figure, and that gap holds this measure down. The fleet is Airbus A320 aircraft, which joined in 2021, though no fleet count is confirmed. Colombo's Bandaranaike airport has no confirmed minimum connection time, so leave generous gaps on self-connected itineraries.

Comfort & experience5/10
Seat pitch and width are unconfirmed for both cabins, which keeps Comfort at this level. Economy gets a light snack and refreshments, with a buy-on-board menu for more. Business Class is only on select routes, and the upgrade adds a meal and in-flight entertainment. Carry-on is 7kg.

Value & network5/10
Up to two checked pieces under 30kg each and a 7kg carry-on are the base allowance. An extra piece beyond two costs USD 50 at check-in, and a reservation change costs USD 50 where the ticket states none. Economy Promo and Basic allow no changes. No loyalty programme is confirmed.

Professional airline rating4/10
No star rating or awards are confirmed, so there is no named rating body to quote. This score reflects missing evidence, not a verdict on service. FitsAir has operated since 1997 and launched scheduled international passenger services in 2022, a short passenger record that holds this measure down.
The published ratings and awards behind this score, each from the body that issued it.
Charges are set and collected by FitsAir, not by Laters.com, and vary by route and fare type.
The full method, measure by measure, is on how we score airlines.
Compare the cabin, included baggage and onboard services before you choose a fare, then use the check-in, connection and assistance details to prepare for your trip.

FitsAir flies Economy and Business. Economy is sold as four fare types: Promo, Basic, Classic and Flex. Business is offered on select routes only, and Economy passengers can upgrade to it. The fare type sets checked baggage, change rights and seat selection, so compare fares before you pay. Seat pitch and width are not published here. Check that your route has Business before you book.
Carry-on is 7kg and must be under 111 cm (height plus width plus length). Checked allowances are not one figure. They vary by route and by fare type, and we have not confirmed a checked allowance, so do not assume one. Read your booking confirmation before you travel, and check FitsAir's own conditions of carriage for the full terms. Do this before you reach the airport.
Allowances vary by route and by fare type. Confirm against your booking confirmation before you travel.
FitsAir serves a light snack and refreshments on board, and it runs a buy-on-board menu. Wifi, power ports and entertainment are not confirmed, so do not plan around them. Charge your devices and download what you want to watch before you leave. Bring a card if you want to buy something extra, and check FitsAir's own menu page for what is on sale.
Colombo is FitsAir's confirmed hub, and the airport is Bandaranaike International (CMB). The number of terminals and the minimum connection time are not confirmed, so there is no published figure to rely on for a tight transfer. Leave a generous gap between flights, and allow more again if you book two separate tickets. Ask FitsAir for its connection rules before you book a short transfer.
FitsAir does not carry animals or birds, so a pet cannot travel with you on its flights. No fare or route is listed as an exception. Pet carriage cannot be booked through Laters either. If you are travelling with an animal, choose another airline, or check FitsAir's conditions of carriage for the current rule before you buy your ticket.
Pet carriage is arranged directly with the airline and cannot be booked on Laters.
FitsAir offers a paid wheelchair service for non-medical slow walkers. Book it at least 48 hours before departure through the Customer Care Hotline. It is charged: on Colombo to Dubai and back the fee is USD 110. The service suits passengers who can walk but slowly, so it is not a medical service. Call the hotline as soon as your flight is booked and ask for the price on your route.
The carriers most often compared with FitsAir, on the facts we hold for both. Every one of them can be booked on Laters.com with the same payment plans.
Baggage, fees, miles, refunds and eligibility
Everything about booking FitsAir flights on Laters.com and splitting the fare, plus the airline’s own rules that decide what you get.
Yes. FitsAir (IATA code 8D) flights from Colombo (CMB) and its other routes can be booked at Laters.com checkout with Clearpay and Tabby, in the order shown. Your e-ticket is delivered instantly after approval. Pay-later is credit, so only borrow what you can repay on schedule.
FitsAir lists MintPay and Koko Pay at 3 interest-free instalments each. Its Seylan Bank (0% for 12 months) and Commercial Bank (0% for 6 or 12 months, Rs. 25,000 to 1,000,000) card plans were both advertised by fitsair.com as valid only until 31 December 2025, which has now passed, so confirm with FitsAir or your bank that either offer is still running before relying on it. DFCC's 0% plan (12 or 24 months) carries no published expiry. Laters offers a different set of providers at checkout, so compare both before you commit.
Laters works on every airline, route and fare class at checkout. FitsAir sells 4 Economy fare types (Promo, Basic, Classic and Flex). The fare type sets your checked baggage, change and cancel rights, and advance seat selection. Read the rules of the fare you pick before you choose a repayment plan.
Approval is decided by the pay-later provider you choose at checkout (Clearpay or Tabby), not by FitsAir. The provider may run its own eligibility checks, and your e-ticket is issued only after approval. Read the provider's terms for what it checks before you accept.
Missed instalments are a matter between you and the pay-later provider, and late fees or account restrictions depend on that provider's terms. Missing a repayment does not change FitsAir's own rules, and a missed flight has separate costs: USD 60 per sector for no-show refund processing, and an AED 850 gate no-show penalty on departures from Dubai. Contact the provider before a due date if you expect to fall behind.
FitsAir's published fee rules, such as the USD 50 reservation change fee and the USD 80 refund penalty, are written around changes you request. They are not a confirmed description of what happens when FitsAir cancels, so ask FitsAir or Laters how your refund will be handled. Also ask your pay-later provider how a refund affects any instalments still due.
Economy Promo and Economy Basic fares do not allow changes or cancellations. On Economy Classic, cancellation costs USD 50 on short haul or USD 90 on medium haul, and changes and cancellations are allowed up to 12 hours before departure. Business Class includes 1 free date change. Your pay-later instalments are a separate agreement, so check the provider's terms on repayments after a refund.
Carry-on is 7kg for adults and children, including a handbag or laptop, and must be under 111 cm (H+W+L). Checked baggage is up to 2 pieces, each under 30kg, and bags must be under 158 cm (H+W+L). Infants get no checked allowance but can bring 5kg of cabin baggage in Economy, or 7kg in Business Class. Your booking confirmation shows the combined weight allowance for your fare.
A checked piece beyond 2 costs USD 50 at check-in. Excess baggage at the airport is USD 16 from Colombo to Kuala Lumpur, Malé, Dhaka, Lahore, Dubai or Ahmedabad, and USD 20 from Dubai to Colombo. Oversized baggage is USD 60. You can also pre-buy up to 2 more pieces of 20kg maximum at least 24 hours before departure, once per itinerary.
FitsAir check-in begins 4 hours before scheduled departure, and Priority Check-In with dedicated counters is sold as an extra service. FitsAir's online and app check-in windows and counter closing times are not confirmed on this page, so check your booking for the cut-off before you travel.
Business Class runs on select FitsAir routes, and upgrades from Economy are priced separately, for example USD 120 for the Basic upgrade on Colombo to Dubai and USD 150 for Flex via the Call Center. For a bigger total, compare the providers shown at checkout and pick the repayment schedule you can comfortably meet each period. A longer plan can mean paying more over time, so read the cost before you accept.
Availability depends on the provider and on your billing country, and checkout shows whether Clearpay or Tabby can be used. FitsAir itself flies from Colombo to Dubai, Male, Ahmedabad, Dhaka and Kuala Lumpur, among other routes, but the flight route does not limit where you can pay from. If no provider is offered for your country, Laters has 100+ other ways to pay at checkout.
The ticket name must match the passenger's ID. FitsAir charges USD 50 to correct a name 48 to 72 hours before departure and allows no name correction within 48 hours. If someone else paid by card and is not travelling, FitsAir asks for a Debit/Credit Card Authorization Form, an ID copy and a consent letter at the airport.
Yes, but FitsAir requires wheelchair service to be booked at least 48 hours before departure through its Customer Care Hotline. It is a paid service for non-medical slow walkers and goes up to the aircraft ramp. Colombo to Dubai and back costs USD 110, and Colombo to Malé and back costs USD 40.
FitsAir (IATA code 8D) is a Sri Lankan airline based at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) near Colombo. It trades as FITS Aviation (Pvt) Ltd, part of the Aberdeen Holdings Group, and began in air cargo in 1997 before launching scheduled international passenger services in October 2022.
FitsAir is registered and based in Sri Lanka, operating from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) near Colombo.
FitsAir's parent, Aberdeen Holdings Group, is a Colombo-based conglomerate with interests across several industries including pharmaceuticals, farming and packaging. No individual owner is named in FitsAir's or Aberdeen Holdings' public materials.
FitsAir trades as FITS Aviation (Pvt) Ltd, a business of the Aberdeen Holdings Group. Neither company's public materials name an individual owner.
No star rating or award from a recognised body such as Skytrax has been confirmed for FitsAir. In July 2023 FitsAir reported Cirium-sourced data showing 100% on-time performance that month, but that figure is now over three years old and single-month, so Laters does not treat it as current. FitsAir has operated scheduled international passenger flights since October 2022.
FitsAir's own site does not publish a fleet count. Independent tracking (Wikipedia, checked 19 October 2026) lists two Airbus A320-200s in active service, after a third aircraft was returned to its lessor in July 2026.
From Colombo, FitsAir flies to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), the Maldives (Male), Bangladesh (Dhaka) and India (Ahmedabad). Its Business Class upgrade tables also cover Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Pakistan (Lahore), Thailand (Bangkok) and Delhi, India.
Yes. FitsAir flies from Colombo to Ahmedabad, India, and its Business Class upgrade tables also cover a Colombo to Delhi route.

FitsAir About Us and milestones · FitsAir About Us and milestones
FitsAir is a Sri Lankan airline, part of the Aberdeen Holdings Group, based at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo (CMB). It began in air cargo and says it was the first privately owned airline the Government of Sri Lanka designated to run scheduled international passenger services. From Colombo it flies to Dubai, Malé, Dhaka and Ahmedabad, and its Business Class upgrade tables also cover Kuala Lumpur, Lahore, Bangkok and Delhi. Cabins are Economy and, on select routes, Business. Onboard you get a light snack and refreshments, with a menu to buy from. No star rating, award, alliance or loyalty programme has been confirmed, so none is claimed here.
Paying later changes how you pay, not what you buy. The fare is the same as paying by card, Laters adds no hidden booking fees, and the ticket is issued on FitsAir's own rules. The fare type still sets your baggage allowance and change and cancellation rights, and any loyalty earning is the one the fare class earns. You fly as FitsAir's own passenger and simply spread the cost.
It is still credit. A soft credit check may apply, some plans carry interest, and a missed instalment has consequences with the provider, including a possible late fee. Availability varies by market, and there is an upper limit on the fare you can split.
The confirmed fleet is a single Airbus type, the Airbus A320, which joined FitsAir in 2021. On the facts confirmed, that makes it a single-type operator, not a mixed long-haul fleet, and no long-haul aircraft are listed. The same aircraft serve a network built around Colombo, with Dubai, Malé, Dhaka and Ahmedabad on the published route list. These are the types in service when last confirmed, and deliveries and retirements change them. A fleet count and a punctuality figure were not confirmed either. Cancellation rate and fleet age are left out rather than estimated, because neither could be confirmed.
