Can You Use bitcoin for Flights?

Yes, bitcoin Works on Any Airline on Laters.com

Yes. You can use bitcoin to buy plane tickets and book flights for every airline, route and fare class on Laters.com. You pay the fare in full at checkout in bitcoin, and Crypto.com Pay is the processor that takes the payment. We add no hidden booking fees and no surcharge for paying this way. Keep one thing in mind: a crypto payment cannot be reversed once it is sent.

These airlines do not list bitcoin on their own booking sites, so booking through Laters.com is how you use it with them. From North America, think American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines and Southwest Airlines. From Europe, easyJet and ITA. From Asia, AirAsia and Thai Airways. At checkout, you select bitcoin, send the quoted amount on the network shown, and the e-ticket is issued once the payment confirms.

The checkout takes bitcoin (BTC), sent on the Bitcoin blockchain. The fare is priced in ordinary currency, so the bitcoin amount holds only while the quote is open. The default payment window is 10 minutes. Send the exact amount on the stated network. Funds sent on a network the checkout does not support are not refunded. If you pay from an external wallet, you cover the network fee, and Laters.com adds nothing on top.

Why Book Your Bitcoin Flights on Laters.com?

Compare flights across every airline we sell, then pay in bitcoin at the Laters.com checkout. The flight comes first and the payment second, with the fare paid in full at that same checkout and the e-ticket issued once the payment confirms.

We are the merchant for your ticket, whichever airline operates the flight. So when something needs changing, one party handles the booking, the change and any refund. A bitcoin payment cannot be reversed once it is sent, so changes and refunds go through us rather than the network.

Our editorial rating, out of 10, for how well bitcoin works when you pay for a flight with it.

  1. 1Coin Choice

  3. 3Payment Speed
  4. 4Refunds

Each of the four criteria is scored out of 10 against the published payment terms of the processor that takes crypto at our checkout. The headline is the unweighted average of those four, rounded to one decimal, and no brand pays to be rated. Last reviewed October 2026.

Laters.com is the merchant for every booking on this page: we sell the ticket and earn from the fare, which is the same whichever payment method you choose. No payment provider pays us for placement, ranking or its Payment Score, and this page contains no affiliate links.

Which Airlines Can You Book with Bitcoin?

Which airlines accept bitcoin? Every airline on Laters.com can be paid for with bitcoin here, even though almost no airline takes crypto at its own checkout. This holds on any route and any fare class, from short-haul low-cost tickets to long-haul business class. The two groups below differ in one way that matters. On a full-service carrier, the checked bag, seat selection, meals and frequent-flyer earning are exactly as the airline sells them. On a low-cost airline, the extras are added at checkout. Either way, the whole basket is paid in one bitcoin payment. Once sent, that payment cannot be reversed. Paying with bitcoin does not change the fare, the baggage allowance or the miles earned. You fly as the airline's own passenger. Laters.com receives the payment and pays the airline.

FAQs: using bitcoin to book flights

Everything you need to know about paying for flights with bitcoin on Laters.com.

Can you use Bitcoin to buy airline tickets?

Yes. Laters.com takes bitcoin (BTC) at checkout on any of its 650+ airlines, and Crypto.com Pay processes the payment. You pay from the Crypto.com App by QR code or from an external wallet such as MetaMask, WalletConnect or Ledger, and your e-ticket is issued once the payment confirms.

Which airlines accept bitcoin for flights?

All of them on Laters.com. Bitcoin is a payment method at our checkout, not something each airline switches on, so it works on every airline, route and fare class we sell. Some airlines do not list bitcoin on their own booking sites, and booking them through Laters.com is how you pay them this way. The payment is still processed by Crypto.com Pay and cannot be reversed once sent, so confirm the fare before you pay.

Which coins and networks does Laters.com accept for bitcoin flight payments?

Bitcoin (BTC) only. It is the one coin listed for this checkout. With an external wallet, BTC is paid on the Bitcoin Blockchain network, and it is the only currency listed for that network. You can also choose BTC in the Crypto.com App. Crypto.com Pay supports other coins elsewhere, but the Laters.com checkout shows what is offered for your booking. Funds sent in a coin or on a network the checkout does not support are not refunded.

Does paying for flights with bitcoin cost extra?

Not from Laters.com. We add no payment surcharge and no booking fee for paying with bitcoin, and Crypto.com Pay charges no extra fee to convert the fare into BTC. The network fee is separate. Customers pay it themselves when they use an external wallet, and it goes to the network, not to us. Paying from the Crypto.com App carries no such fee under the terms we hold. Check the amount in your wallet before you confirm.

When do I get my e-ticket after paying for a flight with bitcoin?

Once the payment confirms. Laters.com issues the e-ticket after Crypto.com Pay confirms your bitcoin payment, not when you press send. For BTC the processor allows a 20-minute session window, and a payment arriving after it counts as late. The pages we checked give no set number of blockchain confirmations and no typical confirmation time, so we state none. The checkout shows the status of your payment.

What happens if my bitcoin quote expires before I send the payment?

The quote lapses. Laters.com prices the fare in ordinary currency, and Crypto.com Pay converts it into BTC at the market rate when you pay. The default window is 10 minutes, and the checkout shows the countdown that applies to your booking. For BTC, a payment arriving after the 20-minute session window counts as late. A late payment is returned in full minus the blockchain fee, with a claim link sent to the email you gave.

What happens if I send too little or too much bitcoin for a flight?

Both can be returned. An underpaid payment is refunded in full minus the blockchain fee, with a claim link emailed to you, unless the merchant has set an underpayment threshold that accepts the shortfall. Customers are not shown that threshold. An overpaid portion is returned minus the blockchain fee. External-wallet payments have no check on the amount you enter, so mistakes are possible. Payments from the Crypto.com App are charged the exact amount.

Can the price of my flight change while I pay with bitcoin?

Not the fare. The fare is priced in ordinary currency, and the BTC amount is held only while the quote is open. Crypto.com Pay converts at the market rate at the time of payment, with no extra conversion fee. With an external wallet, the exchange rate can update while you pay, which is how payments end up over or underpaid. Send the exact amount shown before the window closes, because a sent payment cannot be reversed.

How do refunds work if I paid for a flight with bitcoin and it is canceled?

In cryptocurrency. Whether you are owed a refund follows the fare rules shown at checkout. If you are, BTC is one of the five refund currencies Crypto.com Pay supports, and the refund matches the original value minus blockchain network fees. Crypto.com App payers are refunded automatically in the currency set under Refund Currency. External-wallet payers get an email claim link, then choose a currency, a chain and a wallet address.

What happens if I send bitcoin to the wrong network or address?

It is not refunded. Funds sent in a cryptocurrency or on a network that Crypto.com Pay does not support for this checkout are not refunded or returned. A bitcoin payment cannot be reversed once it is sent. For external wallets, BTC is paid on the Bitcoin Blockchain network. The terms we hold do not cover a mistyped address, so check the coin, the network and the address before you confirm.

Do I need to verify my identity to pay for flights with bitcoin?

Not confirmed here. The terms we hold state no identity check for paying with bitcoin at Laters.com, so we cannot promise one either way. App payers pay from their Crypto.com App account. External-wallet payers give an email address so a refund claim link can reach them. Check the checkout and Crypto.com Pay's terms for what applies to you and your country.

Should I pay for flights with bitcoin or USDT?

Bitcoin, if refunds matter to you. Crypto.com Pay lists BTC among its five refund currencies, so a BTC payment can be refunded in BTC. USDT is not on that list. BTC also gets a 20-minute session window, against 10 minutes for other cryptocurrencies. USDT travels on networks such as Cronos, ERC-20 and Polygon. The Laters.com checkout shows which coins are offered for your booking. Either way, a sent payment cannot be reversed.

Can I pay for international and multi-stop flights with bitcoin?

Yes. Bitcoin works on every airline, route and fare class at the Laters.com checkout, so international, return and multi-stop itineraries are paid for the same way. The fare is priced in ordinary currency and converted into BTC when you pay. The coin amount is held only while the quote is open, which is 10 minutes by default. Availability by country is not confirmed in the pages we checked, so confirm at checkout where you live.

Can I pay for business class flights with bitcoin?

Yes. Laters.com offers bitcoin on every fare class at checkout, so premium economy, business and first fares are covered where an airline sells them. The payment method does not change the fare rules. The terms we hold state no minimum or maximum amount, so check the checkout for any limit on a large fare. Send before the default 10-minute window closes, because a sent payment cannot be reversed.

Can I change my flight after paying with bitcoin?

Fare rules decide. Laters.com accepts bitcoin at checkout, but whether you can change a flight, and at what cost, depends on the airline's conditions shown when you book. If a change leads to a refund, Crypto.com Pay refunds in cryptocurrency, matching the original value minus blockchain network fees. Confirm with the checkout terms how any extra amount is collected. Any bitcoin you send cannot be reversed.

Which wallets can I use to pay for flights with bitcoin?

Two kinds work. At the Laters.com checkout you can scan a QR code in the Crypto.com App and choose BTC. You can also connect an external wallet such as Crypto.com DeFi Wallet, MetaMask, WalletConnect or Ledger. Network fees apply to external wallets, and you pay them. External-wallet payers also give an email address for refund claims. Whichever you use, a sent payment cannot be reversed.

How to buy flight tickets with crypto?

Search and compare flights on Laters.com, add the fare to checkout, then choose bitcoin as the payment method. Scan the QR code in the Crypto.com App, or pay from an external wallet, and send the exact amount shown before the default 10-minute payment window closes. Your e-ticket issues once Crypto.com Pay confirms the payment.

About bitcoin and Laters.com

About Bitcoin Flights

Who is bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a digital currency and payment network that launched in 2009, and no single company issues or runs it. People use it to hold, to send money to one another, and to pay merchants who agree to take it.

Nobody is in charge, which is the point, and also the reason there is no one to call when something goes wrong. Paying for travel sits in that last group, one purchase among many a merchant can choose to accept.

At our checkout, Crypto.com Pay takes the bitcoin payment. The fare is priced in ordinary currency, then converted into BTC at the market rate when you pay. That quote stays open for a limited window.

You send the amount from your wallet on the Bitcoin blockchain network, and the network confirms it. A crypto payment cannot be reversed once it is sent, so check the amount, the network and the address before you send.

Booking with bitcoin on Laters.com

Search your route on Laters.com, where prices from multiple providers appear in one search, and choose bitcoin at checkout. The fare is quoted in BTC, the accepted coin here. Send that amount on the Bitcoin blockchain network before the quote expires.

The default payment window is 10 minutes. Your e-ticket is issued once the payment confirms.

Care matters at this step. An underpaid or late payment is returned minus the blockchain fee, and funds sent in the wrong coin or on an unsupported network are not refunded.

You are buying from Laters.com, not from the coin or the processor. Laters.com is the merchant for the booking and issues the ticket. Bitcoin is only how the fare is paid.

There is no payment surcharge and no booking fee, so the fare is the same as paying by card. The network fee is separate. If you pay from an external wallet, it comes out of your wallet and goes to the network, not to Laters.com.

Refunds follow the fare rules of the ticket. Where one is due, Crypto.com Pay lists BTC among its refund currencies. The refund matches the original value minus blockchain network fees.

Laters.com earns from the fare as the merchant, the same whichever payment method you choose; no payment provider pays for placement on this page.
