Crypto.com Pay takes USDT from external wallets on Cronos, ERC-20 and Polygon. Its app also takes BTC, ETH, XRP, USDC, DOGE, PYUSD and CRO. Laters.com adds no surcharge, and the processor charges no extra conversion fee. The payment window is 10 minutes by default. Refunds never come back as USDT, and a sent payment cannot be reversed.

- Tron (TRC20) USDT is not supported and is not refunded.
- Refunds arrive as CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC or TUSD.
Coin Choice9/10
USDT goes through on Cronos, ERC-20 and Polygon from external wallets, and the Crypto.com App also takes BTC, ETH, XRP, USDC, DOGE, PYUSD and CRO. Held back from 10: Tron (TRC20) is not supported, and the app's networks are not listed.
Fees8/10
Laters.com adds no surcharge, and Crypto.com Pay charges no extra fee to convert a USD fare into USDT. Held back from 9: external-wallet payers, such as MetaMask or Ledger users, bear the network fee, and its amount is not stated.
Payment Speed7/10
The default window is 10 minutes, and a payment arriving after the session time is treated as late. Held back: that is a short stretch to copy an address and send, and the confirmations required are not stated. A 7 means adequate, with a caveat.
Refunds7/10
USDT is not a refund currency. Refunds come back as CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC or TUSD, minus blockchain network fees, and the merchant decides whether to refund. Held back: no match to the coin paid, and no stated timeline.
The editorial take
- Strongest on
- Coin choice. USDT works on three networks from external wallets, and the Crypto.com App accepts BTC, ETH, XRP, USDC, DOGE, PYUSD and CRO as well.
- Held back by
- Refunds. USDT is not a refund currency, so money returns as CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC or TUSD, and the 10-minute window leaves little room for error.
- Best for
- USDT on Cronos, ERC-20 or Polygon for external-wallet holders.
What else can cost you
- Laters.com surcharge
- None. We add no booking fee or surcharge for paying in USDT, and the processor charges no extra conversion fee.
- Network fee
- Your external wallet pays it to the network, for example MetaMask or Ledger. The terms we read give no amount.
- Late or short payment
- After the 10-minute window, or if short, a payment returns minus the blockchain fee, unless a merchant threshold applies. Overpayments return minus it too.
- Wrong network
- Funds sent on a coin or network the checkout does not support are not refunded. Tron (TRC20) is not on the supported list.
- Refund currency
- Returned as CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC or TUSD, never USDT, minus blockchain network fees. The merchant decides whether to refund.
Where usdt leads

Before you apply
- You need the Crypto.com App to scan a QR code, or an external wallet such as MetaMask, WalletConnect or Ledger that can send to an address.
- External-wallet payers give an email address at payment, because any late-payment return or refund claim link is sent there.
- Minimum and maximum amounts and identity checks are not in the terms we read, so check the checkout or Crypto.com Pay's own terms.
- Availability can vary by country, and app refund currencies differ in Singapore. Confirm at checkout before you plan around it.
