Paying with XRP at our checkout runs through Crypto.com Pay, and only from the Crypto.com App by QR code. That route carries no network fee and cannot be underpaid. The payment window is a default 10 minutes. Refunds never come back as XRP. They arrive as CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC or TUSD, with no stated timeframe. A sent payment cannot be reversed.
What works well
- No network fee: XRP pays only through the Crypto.com App.
- Converted at the market rate with no extra conversion fee.
- App payments are charged the exact amount, so no underpayment.
- Refund is worth the original pricing value, minus network fees.
What to watch
- Crypto.com App only, no external wallet.
- Payment window is 10 minutes by default.
- Refunds never come back as XRP.
- A sent payment cannot be reversed.
Coin Choice8/10
Crypto.com Pay lists XRP alongside BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC in the Crypto.com App, so there is real choice. It loses points because XRP has no external-wallet route. It also lists no on-chain network, so the App's QR code is the only way to pay in XRP.
Fees9/10
Laters.com adds no surcharge and Crypto.com Pay charges no extra conversion fee. XRP paid through the Crypto.com App carries no separate network fee. A 10 would need a known XRP amount, but the fare converts at the market rate when you pay.
Payment Speed7/10
The payment window is 10 minutes by default, and a payment arriving after the 10-minute session counts as late. That is workable from an App you already use. It is tight if you are still hunting for the QR code. The facts give no confirmation time.
Refunds7/10
XRP is not a refund currency. Refunds come back as CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC or TUSD, worth the original pricing value minus blockchain network fees where they apply. Crypto.com Pay leaves refunds to the merchant's discretion, and no page gives a timeframe.
