OAG measured Jetstar Airways at 77.47% for August 2026. Your repayment dates follow the plan you set up at checkout, not the time your flight lands.

Not often, by Australian standards. BITRE recorded 2.2% of Jetstar's domestic flights as cancelled in 2025, against 2.5% for all airlines, and 0.5% in August 2026. The Airbus A320 and A321 fleet that flies most domestic routes has no Wi-Fi; Jetstar Entertainment+ streams films and TV to your own device for a fee instead.

Jetstar Airways runs 2 cabin classes. A pricier business class fare simply means a larger total to split, so choose a pay-later plan whose instalment size and schedule you're confident you can meet before selecting your cabin.

No. Business Class on Jetstar Airways' refreshed Boeing 787s is a recliner with a 38-inch pitch and seven inches of recline, not a flat bed, and the refit has grown the cabin from 21 to 44 seats. Business is sold only on 787 international flights; the Airbus fleet flying domestic routes is all Economy.

It is an extra. On a Starter fare you buy meals, snacks and drinks on board or pre-order them online, on Jetstar Airways and Jetstar Japan flights alike. Many bundles include a meal or a voucher for the on-board menu, and Business Class includes meals, so check what your bundle covers before you book.

Only with a Business Max fare on an international flight. Jetstar Airways gives those passengers partner and Qantas Club lounges, where available, when the flight carries a JQ or QF code. Economy and Starter fares include no lounge access, and the pay-later provider you choose at the Laters.com checkout has no bearing on it.

Around 28 to 29 inches of seat pitch. Jetstar Airways' A320 and A321LR seats average 29 inches and the A320neo has 28, while refreshed Boeing 787s offer 30 inches in Economy. There are no seatback screens on the Airbus fleet, and paying in instalments makes no difference to the seat you get.

Usually the booking has broken one of Jetstar's conditions. Afterpay will not be offered if your first flight leaves in under 48 hours or the total, fee included, goes above AUD 4,000. Jetstar describes it as available on Jetstar Airways (JQ) flights only. Choosing a payment currency without a matching Afterpay account in that currency can also stop it working.

If the flight qualifies, the problem is often your Afterpay account. Afterpay says accounts less than six weeks old may be limited to fewer purchases, recent late payments can block approval, and you need 25% of the price available on your card. Your approved spending limit may also sit below Jetstar Airways' AUD 4,000 cap.

Afterpay's region selector lists only the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Canada, so countries outside that list aren't covered.
