Can You Pay Later on Fiji Airways?

Yes, on Every Route They Fly, on Laters.com

Yes. You can book Fiji Airways on Laters.com and pick a payment plan right inside the checkout, whatever route you're flying and whatever fare class you've chosen. Payment is approved, and the e-ticket lands in your inbox straight away, ready to fly on.

Paying later is a payment method built into the Laters.com checkout, not something Fiji Airways has to switch on, which is why it works on every route we ticket. Search the route, choose a provider on the payment screen, pick a plan, and the e-ticket arrives as soon as payment is approved. Which plans you see is set by the country you're booking from, not by the airline you're flying, so checkout simply shows the plans your fare qualifies for. Nothing to work out beforehand.

An instalment plan leaves the fare alone, and the baggage allowance, and the seat, and what the fare class earns you. You fly as Fiji Airways's own passenger on Fiji Airways's own fare rules, and only the paying is spread out. On the credit itself: interest-free plans run a soft eligibility check that won't affect your credit score, while interest-bearing monthly financing runs a full credit check, and approval is never guaranteed on either. Don't want a plan? Pay in full by card, or with crypto, at the same checkout.

Fiji Airways is paid in full at booking. You repay the provider on the plan you choose, and the e-ticket is issued straight away. The same short instalment shape can trade under a different name depending on provider and market.

Illustrative only. The figures above are computed from the fare you set: plain division for the interest-free plans, and each plan's own illustrative rate over its stated term for monthly financing. They are not an offer, a quote, or a prediction of what you will be given. Laters.com is not the lender and takes no part in the decision: which plans appear, the instalment amounts, any interest and fees, and whether you are eligible at all are determined by the provider alone, and depend on a credit or eligibility assessment, your country and your basket. The only way to see your real plans is to choose a provider at checkout, at which point that provider, not Laters.com, approves or declines the purchase. All plans, rates, fees and terms are estimates only and subject to approval and to change.

Laters.com vs booking direct

Why buy Fiji Airways flights with Laters.com?

Booking direct at Fiji Airways' own site is a reasonable choice if you're paying by card in full. But that checkout only sells Fiji Airways, and only shows you the payment options built into that one page. Laters.com searches every airline we sell in one place and gives you a choice of pay-later plans at checkout. Either way, it's the same Fiji Airways ticket, on the airline's own fare rules, with the same baggage allowance, seat selection and loyalty earning. Splitting the payment doesn't change what you fly.

How the score is built

  • 4 measures, each scored out of 10
  • The headline is the plain average of those measures, computed in the open
  • Each measure is an editorial assessment based on the published facts and sources in the breakdown
  • No airline pays to be rated, and no placement is sold

What we deliberately left out

  1. Safety. It is not a marketing metric and we will not rank carriers on it.
  2. Cancellation rate and fleet age. Omitted rather than estimated, until a sourced field exists for every airline.
  3. Any sub-metric we cannot attribute. An unsourced measure is dropped, not guessed.
  4. Blended third-party scores that mix in inputs we have already rejected elsewhere on this page.

FAQs: Booking Fiji Airways and Paying Later

Everything about booking Fiji Airways flights on Laters.com and splitting the fare, plus the airline’s own rules that decide what you get.

Fiji Airways Plane

Can I pay later for Fiji Airways flights?

Yes. Book Fiji Airways on Laters.com and choose a pay-later plan at checkout, on any route we sell. Fiji Airways is paid in full at booking, you repay the provider on the plan you pick, and the e-ticket is issued as soon as payment is approved.

Does paying in instalments change my fare, baggage or miles?

No. You fly as a Fiji Airways passenger on the airline's own fare rules, so the baggage allowance, seat selection and loyalty earning are the same as any other booking of that fare type. Only how you pay for the ticket changes.

How much checked baggage do I get on Fiji Airways?

It depends on the fare type. On international flights, Economy Lite includes no checked bag, Economy Value includes one piece up to 30kg (66lbs), and Economy Comfort, Economy Plus and Business fares include two pieces up to 30kg each. Business fares to or from Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas include three pieces.

What is the Fiji Airways carry-on allowance?

Economy passengers can bring one cabin piece up to 7kg (15lbs), with a total size of no more than 118cm (46in). Business passengers on Boeing 737 and Airbus flights can bring up to two pieces at 7kg each, within 126cm (50in). Your personal item counts within this allowance, not on top of it, and ATR flights allow one 7kg piece in either cabin.

Where does Fiji Airways fly?

Fiji Airways serves 25 destinations in 14 countries and territories from its hub at Nadi International Airport, with long-haul routes to cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Vancouver, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Its subsidiary Fiji Link covers domestic Fiji routes and nearby island nations such as Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Is Fiji Airways part of an airline alliance?

Yes. Fiji Airways became a full member of the oneworld alliance in April 2025, and its frequent flyer programme is American Airlines AAdvantage.

What aircraft does Fiji Airways fly?

Fiji Airways flies a fleet of 23 aircraft, made up of Airbus A350-900 flagships, Airbus A330s and Boeing 737s, according to the oneworld alliance.

Is Fiji airlines good to fly with?

Fiji Airways is a Skytrax-certified 4-Star Airline, rated for its seats, amenities, catering, in-flight entertainment, cleanliness and cabin and ground staff service. It became a full member of the oneworld alliance in April 2025, giving passengers access to nearly 700 partner lounges worldwide and American Airlines AAdvantage mileage earning. OAG's August 2026 on-time performance data puts it at 71.85% of flights arriving within 15 minutes.

Is Fiji Air owned by Qantas?

No. Fiji Airways is not owned by Qantas. It is the national carrier of the Republic of Fiji, majority-owned by the Fijian government. Qantas previously held a minority stake in the airline's predecessor, Air Pacific, decades ago, but Fiji Airways has operated independently since; the two airlines are now oneworld alliance partners rather than owner and subsidiary.

About Fiji Airways and Laters.com

About Fiji Airways

OAG on-time performance data Β· Skytrax Β· oneworld member profile: Fiji Airways

Who is Fiji Airways ?

Fiji Airways is the national carrier of Fiji, carrying its passengers across the Pacific and beyond. Flying with it means boarding as a Fiji Airways passenger under its own fare rules, whatever payment method gets you there.

Booking through Laters.com and paying in instalments changes only the timing of your money, not the trip itself. The fare is identical to paying by card in full. Your baggage allowance is whatever your fare includes, and any loyalty points you earn follow the fare class you booked, exactly as they would otherwise. Fiji Airways issues the ticket on its own conditions, so you fly as a normal Fiji Airways passenger and simply spread the cost over time instead of paying it upfront.

That said, paying later is still a form of credit. Some plans carry interest and some don't, a soft credit check may apply, and missing an instalment has consequences with the provider, so only commit to a schedule you're confident you can keep.

Fleet and on-time performance

Fiji Airways has operated under its own name since 1951, and today flies a mixed fleet built around Airbus and Boeing aircraft rather than a single type, giving it the range to cover both regional hops and longer routes across the Pacific. Fleet composition shifts over time as aircraft are delivered or retired, so any snapshot reflects the fleet at the point it was last confirmed rather than a fixed roster. We haven't confirmed a cancellation rate or an average fleet age for Fiji Airways, so those figures are left out here rather than estimated.

Laters.com is operated by Fly Fairly Pte. Ltd., a travel agent licensed by the Singapore Tourism Board under licence TA04059. Contact Laters.com about a booking, including changes and cancellations; contact your payment provider about your repayment account.
