SINGAPORE, 2 September 2026. Laters.com, the payments-first online travel agency formerly known as Fly Fairly, today announced a US$1.5 million seed round led by XBO Ventures, the investment arm of XBO.com, the global digital-asset platform, and the completion of its rebrand from flyfairly.com to laters.com.

Tech in Asia ran the exclusive: SG travel startup nets $1.5m to expand flexible travel payments.

Laters.com sells flights on 650+ airlines and lets travelers pay in full with a digital wallet or cryptocurrency, or over time with one of around 40 buy now pay later and installment plans. It offers over 100 ways to pay for a flight. The overwhelming majority of its payment volume is non-card, the inverse of the rest of the industry.

Laters.com launched from Singapore in August 2024 and has been profitable every month since February 2025. It is now at a run rate of over a million travelers a year finding flights on the platform, and the United States quickly grew to become its largest market. Consumer response to the platform has been overwhelmingly positive: 4.8 out of 5 on both Google and Trustpilot.

Laters.com accepts stablecoins and 70+ other cryptocurrencies, settled at checkout like any other payment method, and its crypto customers spend more than twice as much as the average customer, typically on long-haul trips and higher cabin classes.

Nobody should lose the fare they found because payday is two weeks away. Family, work, a wedding: some trips cannot wait. Laters.com fixes the price today and spreads the cost, so the people who plan ahead are not the ones who pay the most.

Yardley founded Laters.com after twenty years in travel and e-commerce: eBay’s EMEA leadership team, Senior Director at Booking Holdings leading partnerships for Agoda and Booking.com across Asia Pacific, and most recently Managing Director at ShopBack.

We back companies that turn digital assets into something people actually spend. Laters.com has done that at one of the sharpest points of friction there is: paying for a flight. The majority of its volume already moves outside the card networks, and that is where we think this market is going.

    Two public tools

Which pay-later provider a traveler can actually use depends on the country they book from, and that information sits scattered across provider terms and airline checkouts. Laters.com publishes a free country-by-country guide to fly now pay later providers, from Klarna and Afterpay to Zip and Atome, at laters.com/fly-now-pay-later.

The Laters.com Payment Score, at laters.com/payment-score, rates the pay-later providers at the Laters.com checkout out of 10 on repayment flexibility, interest rate, eligibility and approval process.

No provider pays to be scored, ranked or placed. Laters.com earns the same margin whichever way a traveler pays.

    What the funding enables

The seed capital funds growth of the Laters.com brand, expansion of the core business, and new products and verticals.

Millennial and Gen Z travelers have spent a decade adapting to a booking experience built for their parents. We built Laters.com around how this generation actually pays, and it turns out what we built works well beyond flights. So we are doubling down on what works, and building for the needs this generation has been quietly working around for years. Some of that is travel. Some of it is not.
